Flooring Contractor in Limestone County, AL
Limestone County is about 30 minutes west of our Huntsville shop along I-565 and US-72, and it is one of the fastest-growing counties in Alabama. Most of our calls here come from the new slab subdivisions that sprang up around Athens, Greenbrier and the Mazda Toyota plant. We install waterproof LVP, hardwood, laminate and carpet, and we test the slab first. Call (904) 533-7260.

Limestone County, AL
New slab homes along I-565
Limestone County grew 25.1% between the 2010 and 2020 censuses, from 82,782 to 103,570 residents, one of the fastest climbs in Alabama. That surge arrived as new construction. The Mazda Toyota plant and the I-565 corridor pulled thousands of families into fresh subdivisions around Athens, Greenbrier and the land Huntsville annexed on the county’s east side.
Almost all of that new housing is slab-on-grade. For flooring, that makes the concrete the first thing we check. A slab poured in the last decade can still carry construction moisture, and vapor coming up through it is what lifts LVP seams and buckles laminate later. So we take a moisture reading before we order a single box of material.
The homes themselves shipped with builder-grade floors — carpet in the bedrooms, thin laminate or sheet vinyl in the kitchen, and carpeted stairs in the two-story plans. Ten to fifteen years in, owners want that gone in favor of one durable surface across the main level. Waterproof LVP is the usual answer, and it runs cleanly through an open plan once the slab reads dry.
The older half of the county tells a different story. Farmhouses and mid-century homes near the smaller towns sit on crawlspaces, so there we check the vapor barrier and look for soft framing before we recommend wood.

Local knowledge
Around Greenbrier and the Toyota plant

We work the whole county from our Huntsville base, running west on I-565 and US-72 into Athens and out to the Greenbrier and Mooresville exits. The newer neighborhoods near the Mazda Toyota campus and the Huntsville annexation line are the easiest to reach, and the measure visit is free wherever you are in the county.
Typical Limestone County jobs follow the growth. In the new subdivisions we pull builder carpet and kitchen vinyl, confirm the slab is dry, and run one continuous LVP floor through the living space. In the older towns and on the farms, the work shifts to refinishing original wood, repairing a soft subfloor, or putting a humidity-tolerant floor over a crawlspace. We haul the old flooring off either way, and we tell you up front which prep a room actually needs before we quote the finish floor. Rental turnovers tied to the plant workforce are a steady part of the calendar too.

Flooring for Limestone County’s new builds
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
The default Limestone County upgrade: waterproof LVP replacing builder carpet and kitchen vinyl across the main level of a new subdivision home, run continuously once the slab reads dry.
DetailsHardwood Installation
Engineered hardwood for move-up buyers in the growth corridor, set with a moisture test and acclimation tuned to the Tennessee Valley’s humidity swings — the safer wood choice over a newer slab.
DetailsStair Flooring
Two-story subdivision plans here almost always come with carpeted stairs; we convert the treads and risers to wood with matching nosing to tie into the new downstairs floor.
DetailsLaminate Flooring
A budget-friendly, scratch-resistant wood look for bedrooms and bonus rooms, set over the slab with quiet underlayment in these fast-built homes, a practical pick for a rental or a first home.
DetailsFast Move-In Flooring
Plant hiring and quick closings along I-565 run on tight dates; newer subfloors and simple layouts let us turn an install around fast to beat a move-in deadline.
DetailsCarpet Installation
Fresh carpet and pad for bedrooms and bonus rooms, with the worn builder carpet torn out and hauled away so the new floor goes down clean.
DetailsSubfloor Repair
In the county’s older farmhouses and mid-century homes, crawlspace moisture softens plywood over time; we replace the bad sections and level before any new floor goes down.

“I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was! They were professional and courteous through the whole process. All of my questions were answered as needed. They worked hard so that I could get to things I needed during construction. I have a dog, and they were very kind to her. By the end of the construction I felt as though they were family and my floors were fabulous! I will call on them again and would recommend them to my friends and family too.”
“This company did an amazing job with our floors! Lucas and his team did great work. They communicated well and were nice to work with. They worked efficiently and precisely and cleaned up afterwards. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have floor work done.”
